Same problem here.
And you are also using the default theme.
On my theme,some users have stars and titles but many don't have it.

May seem like a silly question but have you put the usergroup image link in and made sure that stars are active?

If it was working before than it should also work after the upgrade as no settings have been changed from my side and sure,that the stars are active.Nothing has been changed.
It is a bug and that's all.

One more issue: Closed forums shows "Forum Contains New Posts" image, instead of locked/closed image. You can see on the index of this forum.

I can confirm after updating to MyBB v1.8.16 (Same here on MyBB official board)
- no stars icons are displayed (for some users yes, for majority not)
- no groupimages are displayed (again for some users)
Anyway about locked threads icon - please update your css with new changes... this is invalid report

I can't replicate the issue of no user images or stars being shown; they show fine for me.

The stars are missing on a test forum I've just installed and even on the community forums almost every user seems to have no stars now.

Having same problem, thought it was just me but I double checked and made sure I had an image in there but no luck.
