Cookie problem - not working as should

I think you might have misinterpreted what the posts were saying.

I understand how to set them up, my question is why isn't it working when i have it set to "/" all tutorials on integrating mybb with eternal scripts on an outside directory say to do this, i have no problem with having cookies only in forum directory, but i need the cookie path to go to ../ aswell.


Another edit: even with cookie path setup properly i cannot log out of the forum...
