So, i have done this before, and even your tutorials, and official documentation say to change cookie path to "/" when forum is installed in "/forum/" directory if using external script, however it does not work at all for me, like i said i have done it before, so i have no idea why it is not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

It doesn't say to do that, and what do you mean by an external script?

And yes on numerous tutorials and posts by admins saying to change it to "/" and it should work fine, one i found about 5 minutes before making this thread.

See: [Docs: Cookie_Settings] and http://community.mybb.com/thread-126359.html

I think you might have misinterpreted what the posts were saying.

I understand how to set them up, my question is why isn't it working when i have it set to "/" all tutorials on integrating mybb with eternal scripts on an outside directory say to do this, i have no problem with having cookies only in forum directory, but i need the cookie path to go to ../ aswell.

Another edit: even with cookie path setup properly i cannot log out of the forum...
