Congratulations! So, finally we did it.

a) upon completion of this operation the user is taken to the settings window at once (instead of remaining in the plugin list window)

I thought it'd be useful because when a plugin get activated it may need to get configured/customized. Besides it's what Akismet -as a standard embedded plugin- does.

b) if I am currently not logged in as admin in the Forum, upon completion of "Install & Activate" i get the popup:

You are logged in AdminCP but not in your forum. Please login there with current user and then come back and refresh this page.

Then I'll remove that JavaScript alert and would try to replace it with a normal (HTML) message.

Ideally, there could be several customizable cells.

This is exactly what I'm gonna do. I think it's a better way than adding so many non-customizable Extra Cells. Though it wouldn't be easy at all because there are so many variables out there which should be considered. I've a clue how to handle them and minimize the limitations but it would be time-consuming anyway.
