It should really be using $db->insert_query() as its a basic query, then he can build a datahandler to validate the insert before actually inserting it.

Oh good to see the beta one,but its so simple add some more features too.Also allow users to choose their own link mean if some one has installed his forum in Root/forum then he can setup his wiki Root/wiki or wiki.yourdomain.com just like that.Also allow HTML post,if admin want then disable html but add html option please.Add group permission settings too.

^^this!!!!! if I use this I will be doing it outside my forum root. Make it work like the default portal. check that code for how to use the $forumdir variable to get to into MyBB

Good point. Still, should always use write_query vs. standard query
He should have a datahandler validation going on as you mentioned as well.

Well, adding features, fixing stuff, etc. Final exams are coming up for me so I won't be able to contribute as much. I'll still work on it, it'll be a joint project.
