This is one of the best topics ever, and I miss Harajuju.net, it was a real avant-garde MyBB forum.

So its been 4 years since the wonderful post but I still see mybb at the same place as it were back then, no improvements in the core of mybb nor such customize-able themes are available as of yet... just wondering when it will be possible for a layman user to have such a humanized mybb forum.

I think one of the takeaways from this thread is that it's never going to be easy for a layman user to follow these guidelines. It takes a webmaster knowing what their audience wants, and going through making changes like this. That isn't to say the process couldn't be simplified in the core though, I'm sure MyBB 2 will be a lot easier to create something great with. But it will always take lots of time and effort to get a site to the point Brad had his. |
