[How To?] change a forum to a category

hi,
some how my category has changed to a forum. I cant change it back to a category because it says i have other forums inside the post, which i do. can anyone hhelp? thanks
did you try changing Forum Type to category and select Parent Forum as none in ACP...

yep i've tried that but it says:
The following errors were encountered: Forums with threads cannot be converted to categories. It used to work fine!
