Problem is that 1.6 and 1.8 use XHTML rather than HTML5, with no plans to update until 2.0 as far as I know. Rewriting to be HTML5 compliant is a massive job.

Of course, one can imagine. So that data-* idea could be something you guys can think about doing MyBB 2.

Also keeping the themes from the database and allow it to be a view outside of the actual software would be nice too, but you guys are already planning on that hopefully. Smile

I'm not sure what the plan is for 2.0, but neither is anybody else as far as I know. It's a long way down the road still. I'm sure it'll be good hough!

It's not too difficult to use HTML5 with MyBB. For instance, my forum I use a premium bootstrap theme. I'll have a quick lookarount for the tutorials I used. :3
