I see init.php in /inc/plugins. But looking in previous backups, I don't see it there. Is this supposed to exist there?

Okay. this is what was causing the problem with my plugins in admin. I removed it. Now the error inc/languages//config_sceditor.lang.php does not exist is gone. I found the clue after 5 hours. great. Hosting left it there. The script MyAlerts script giving some errors from init.php... She experimenting it looks like... and after we finally got it run she didn't clean up.

but maybe I learned something along the way.

BTW, I think the true initial error with script was a memory allocation problem. But I can't be sure. Anyways...
