Prune members
#11
Using my plugin though makes it VERY easy to remove all members with 0 posts or members that are not activated. IMHO if a member hasn't become activated in 48 hours they never will.

Thanks labrocca for the advice Big Grin, I have already used previously his plugin but the problem is that my forum is based on downloads, they not posting much. There are users who are very active nevertheless do not have no post. I have more than 7000 registered users and only 20% participate regularly but the majority always visits the forum. My intention is not to prune to the users without post Toungue

In most online communities, 90% of users are lurkers who never contribute, 9% of users contribute a little, and 1% of users account for almost all the action.

I have a plugin that makes downloads only available after X posts. You might want to consider that plugin too. You can even name the extensions that are exempt. For instance you could allow image attachments to anyone but for zip or tars you may require 5 posts..or 10 or whatever.

Works well imho.

Oh, have you added a time frame to your prune plugin, Labrocca? But I can't agree with your last statement. I've had several members who have activated their account after a week! Not usually longer than that though! Big Grin

Not yet Judel but I been doing lots of mybb work this week trying to catch up on some stuff I been wanting to do (like the contact form). Then it's back to MYPS. Smile

I am off to the gym now but when I get back I will see about adding time frames to the prune.

Done..that was fairly easy too. I set it to delete based on "lastvisit". Smile

Also that was one of my first plugins so code is a lot cleaner now.
