When I change the name of the admin directory and in the config.php I can't edit teh templates sets anymore..

No. It just didn't load the template that I need to edit.
It loads the page but not the textbox with the code.

This isn't related to changing the directory from /admin/ did you correctly modify config.php?

I can't find the correlation.... Try disabling CodePress and see if that does anything.

I do not see the 'config.php' file in '/inc' directory!

Am using MyBB 1.4.11

I have only 'config.default.php' and not 'config.php'!?

Further, the 'config.default.php' file is empty Confused

That means you haven't installed your forum. Rename config.default.php to config.php and run the install script.
