Hi,

I've created a "suggestions and complaints" subforum in our forums that I created in a way for it to be anonymous except to the admin user group. I got the permissions done just fine, but the problem I'm facing is in the "Last Post" column, it shows the thread title and last poster. Even though they can't access the post itself, it's compromising the integrity of the expected anonymity.

My question: Is there a way I exclude the "Last Post" information from just that one specific forum?

If you untick the 'Can view threads within forum' from the advanced permissions, they shouldn't see it...

I did that - they can still view the "Last Post" from the main forums page though. I'll post some screens from a test account here in a bit.

Printscreen the permissions page, if it's still showing with that permission unchecked, something isn't setup right.

Matt - I'm running into another related issue where the posts in the forum show with the post name and author in the "new posts" search. Anyone can see it there, but can't click on it to see content. How can this be hidden?

Works for me.
Are you sure you have set this for the right group? If so are you sure the user you are testing it with doesn't have any other groups assigned to it (secondary).
Thanks, Polarbear541

Yeah, if they're in an additional group that has access, they'll see the threads even if they're main group doesn't have access.

They're not in any other group that has access. They can't see the forum post from the main page, just from the "new posts" search, but can't drill onto the post to see it. Shall I make you a dummy account for you to see what I mean?

Might be best to create a test account.
