For some strange reason, the theme tab is missing from my Admin Panel. What am I going to do to get one?

I'm not quite sure if this is the reason, but are you hosted at CreateBB? Because a couple of months ago I made a quick board for testing and I think they didn't have a theme tab. (I also read another thread like this and it was because CreateBB).

Yeah, it's disabled. You'll need to host MyBB yourself: http://community.mybboard.net/thread-30827.html

Could I make a new forum with a different MyBB host, then shift everything from the old forum onto the new forum?

If your host lets you backup your forums, then yeah, you can.

hmm I don't really know, just follow this tutorial: http://www.learnmybb.com/forums/thread-21.html
If you can actually follow all these steps, then yeah it means your host lets you backup your forums. When you do that, save the backup on your computer and create a new thread for support on transfering your stuff to a "real host". It's a new "world", because you just simply typed in your forum name and clicked 'Create'. Now you have databases and other stuff. You'll get used to it Toungue
