I know you have to pay for 123Chat, so does this plugin come with the free version or is it a special MyBB version?

It comes with a trial version max 10 users at a time 10 minutes then you get cut off each ten minutes

Everyone knows the 123flashchat costs money. Its the most well known and best paid chat script you can get. 123flashchat never did anything wrong. They just announced a MyBB integration and that you can download the plugin. They never mentioned anything about their services and if you just added the chatroom plugin thinking their won't be any fees behind advanced software like this than you got have a lot to learn. The thread above is called marking, they don't tell everything that you got to know but enough to let you try it .

You might say "well their title says free" and that's true. The MyBB plugin that they're giving out is 100% free but the service that the plugin uses is not free but that's third party so it does not directly count. I do believe that their prices are far overprices but business is business and if they make money like this than so let it be. One person like you (technoman) complaining won't do much of a difference. In fact you kind of look silly because you finally figured out that they're not free .

I agree that this is not FREE but I am only trying to make sure that people are aware of it. If I was to make one recommendation on the title of this thread I would say, don't spread the word FREE .... This can trick us over and over again because we will feel like we've got something FREE ... It was the sorta thing I had wanted to make a point across to other board members.

You did get something free: The MyBB plugin for 123flashchat.

If you read the thread in the first place you would have noticed that 123flashchat was just announcing the free MyBB plugin for 123flashchat. He never said anything about free 123flashchat services. If you didn't realize that than to bad and I am sorry you can't get it the 123flashchat for free but at least you got the 123flashchat MyBB plugin for free .

how can you sit there and argue on a plug-in that you have to add to MyBB and this plug-in in return needs the software to run alongside to make the plug-in work in action co-inside which costs money 600$ USD starting

I totally agree with you that you will need to invest some money in getting the plugin to work but this thread is about the MyBB 123flashchat plugin and not the service. Anyways I am done with arguing, I believe I made my case.

it is like If I have boutique store and I am giving away cell phones for free, but in order to get the cell phone and walk away from my store you need to sign a contract there forth you can walk out of my store and with a brand NEW cell phone but I got you by signing a contract to get the FREE cell phone that had all the whistles and gadgets.

Think about it, the cell phone was never FREE to begin with. ( you signed a contract )

that was just an example.

No the cell phone was free you just had to pay for a plan to make it function but you got the hardware for free. Why can't you except that somethings are free but you got to pay to make them work?
