This plugin is designed to show a bar viewable to selective usergroups on header, where you can add as many messages as you can. This is completely control-able plugin with many features added like background color, scrolling and HTML allowed messages.

Installation:
Simply upload the plugin file: msg_bar.php in ./inc/plugins/ folder and activate the plugin via ACP > Plugin Manager.

Does this use Jquery Marquee or HTML?

There is not much difference in Jquery and HTML Marquee which I've used in this plugin. I also didn't used the Jquery because it will might conflict with most of the MyBB forums.

Not exactly, make sure you use jQuery.noConflict(); and make sure you use jQuery instead of $ when you want to access the jQuery object
All my plugins are available for free at MyBB Extend and on my GitHub. MyBB-Plugins.com has been closed and none of my plugins are officially maintained or supported.

But then again, I don't think it's worth loading another library just for a scrolling message. Use Prototype, which is already loaded by MyBB.

@Pirata: You are right, but I think there is not much difference if we use scroll delay and scroll amount "small", (like I've used in this plugin) so that it scrolls very "smoothly".
