  Post Layout

Hello. I have a question. When reading posts I am accustomed to having the poster's avatar, name, etc left of the post, and not above it. I looked around and found a setting under Configuration->Settings->Show Thread Options that looks like the setting I want to change to get authors info to the left of the post, but when I change the value nothing happens. I reverted back to my default theme to make sure it wasn't the theme causing this. Is the option broke, or am I confused on it's purpose? The only thing I have installed onto my boards is Pro Portal.

  Text are problem
Posted by: Gum - 2010-08-07, 07:15 PM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (7)

I have this text area problem. It is overflowing. I tried adjusting the columns and rows but it still overflows no matter the size. Here are screencaps from chrome and firefox. Ayyone who knows how I could adjust it? BTW, I'm using Apart Sky. It works fine when the formatting buttons don't show somethimes of firefox(I think it's a ff problem with js handling) but it's always on chrome(since chrome always loads the BB formatting buttons)

  Database Installation Error (Table Prefix)
Posted by: Spencer - 2010-08-07, 06:11 PM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (2)

Hi,

I'm attempting to install a 1.6 development board on my server. I'm wanting to use 16_ as the table prefix, but it's giving me the following error:

I was able to use the table prefix 14_ for my 1.4 development board installation though, without any error.

Regards.

After changing the hard drive in my server, I backed up MySQL and all the web files, I slowly got it to work after MyBB nor phpMyAdmin detecting the MySQL extension. After I got it to work, MyBB gave me header errors.

The following warnings occurred:
Warning [2] Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/inc/config.php:1) - Line: 1604 - File: inc/functions.php PHP 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.2 (Linux)

File	Line	Function
[PHP]	 	error         Handler->error
/inc/functions.php	1604	header
/inc/class_session.php	106	my_setcookie
/global.php	55	session->init
/index.php	18	require_once

Then, I decided to install a new copy of MyBB files, and now, see for yourself:

I got 1.6 from an upgrade of 1.4, but I had no problems after that, I got my problems after exchanging the hard drive.
