Here are a few more I dug up from Facebook. They're almost 2 years old by now.

Kandahar. I started climbing up... ended up half way with a crapload of splinters in my hands.


We received care packages and decided to roll out with our beanie babies in tow.


Baltimore, Maryland at a Hotel (coming home from Afghanistan). The Snapple was delicious.


Same as above. Don't mind the finger, haha.

Honest question; How many products like that get over there? Snapple, coke, etc.

There's a picture from our airman's run before graduation from BMT. I don't think my flight can be seen in that shot though.

Coca cola, Fanta, Sprite, and Root Beer were the sodas that I saw regularly in the chow halls. But they tasted different, and the Fantas seemed really watered down.

We had an American PX which had a lot of the stuff you'd see in the US, but in a very small scale. There were also other shops from other countries that had their products (British, French, German, and so on).

Come to think of it - they had a KFC on the boardwalk as well. It wasn't exactly the same as what we have at home, but it tasted good enough.

Keep in mind that all of this stuff is on the US Army base and is shipped over (with exception of the soda's in the chow halls). The water tastes and smells really bad though.

The soda might have been legit sugar soda and not high fructose corn syrup.
