When a user tries to subscribe to a thread, this error is given: Authorization code mismatch. Are you accessing this function correctly? Please go back and try again.
Make sure your templates are up to date. You're using an incompatible theme.
Could you elaborate on what part of the theme is incompatible so we can attempt to resolve the issue? Changing our theme would cause a lot of ruckus on our forums.
You should be able to view templates which need updating

Templates & Styles > Templates > Find Updated Templates.

Then you can do a diff report and see what has changed.
This is a little advanced for me. I see a few snippets highlighted in red and some in green. What do they signify and how am I to handle it?

P.S: This error happens even when the user has the default MyBB theme loaded.
Yes, so you definitely need to update templates.

The red and green are the changes between templates. First, update all the default theme templates (don't touch the custom theme right now) and see if it fixes it (it will). It should just be a one click "update".

Can you provide the list of templates that require changing for your custom theme?
I'm sorry, I'm extremely confused about what you're asking me to do and the question you're asking me.

Here is what I see under "Templates & Style":

And under Templates > Find Updated Templates:

Ok, it looks like someone at some time did not update things correctly. We could do a lot of back and forth or you can just PM me an admin logon.
Would it be okay if we go ahead and do this over here? Mostly for privacy issues and for the sake of me learning. Smile
well, not really, the easy way is gone. I can fix it and tell you what I fixed.
