Full Version: Suggestion: Remove Non-Compliant Showcase Threads All-together

Just a suggestion as I've noticed that trying to browse Showcase is now difficult since nearly half of the threads are closed for non-compliance.

If a thread is advertising a non-MyBB or illegal forum, it should be unapproved and the user should get a quick PM stating the reason. If they fix the issue, then the thread can be reapproved.

Perhaps move them to a forum in staff archives, then staff can see if a forum is a duplicate and the normal forum isn't cluttered for staff as well.

Besides, if users really want to visit the site, there are methods. For instance, if this thread were to be renamed and had the "Suggestion" part sniped, I could see what the thread was originally by looking at anyone's reply, the subject is visible in those posts anyway.

I'd say no. If they aren't reading the rules the first time, they are likely just going to repost it.
Public archives instead then. Perhaps a subforum for non complacent threads.
