To me, rounded corners look cheap and tacky. They where all the rage for a while but in most cases they just look unprofessional. What does everyone else think about rounded corners ?
What do you mean by highlight ?
There should be a slightly subtle difference between the link colour, very slight. This was intensional. I believe users are savvy enough to distinguish between what is a link and what is not. Although I'll look at the link situation in more detail at some point.

It's personal preference, I understand some people like dangerous things (weapons, bungee jumping).

Take the following websites as an example (there may be tiny elements of roundness):
Youtube, no rounded corners
Facebook, no rounded corners
BBC

CNN
http://www.cnn.com, no rounded corners
This is just an example of some highly regarded websites. These websites are not created by the average "Joe". They are designed by highly skilled web developers. Roundness is not easy to implement "correctly". Can you post some examples of world leading websites that use rounded corners to the extreme ?
CSS3 gave users the ability to add round corners to elements pretty easy, but it doesn't necessarily mean adding it everywhere or at all. Im not disagreeing with you as yes your correct, it is personal preference at the end of the day.

There are different levels of 'danger' from sharp corners
- dark area on light background - danger!
- the drama can be reduced by: adding a line (as in the middle of the table), adding a blur, reducing contrast or using a line instead of area.
- upper corners look more dangerous than lower (I blame evolution and snakes for that)
I agree there are authorities which shoud be checked, as well as opinion/wisdom of the masses.

MyBB is not a world leading website lol. MyBB 1.8 is not a professional organisation btw, its developed by a team of volunteers. Its obvious that your web design views are based around forum softwares. Im not sure if you noticed, but from a design point of view mybb is wayyyyy behind in terms of responsive design. You seem to have a crazy fascination with "dangerous corners" lol.
I wanted you to post high end websites that use rounded corners. I dont want you to post "Harry's football forum" or "Lisa's dog grooming website" because these sites are generally created by amateurs and are highly likely to have "rounded corners".
Don't put rounded corners, your design looks great the way it is.
One thing I am not a fan of is how big the header space is. Try reducing its size.
Other than that its an amazing theme!
I like the theme the way it is.
Yahoo has some rounded corners, I think it can be good for certain sites but isn't necessary for all.

Your home page needs DESPERATE SEO work in both metadata and use of words. I would place some text somewhere near the top... preferably at least 300+ words... OR AT LEAST ONE or a few h1 to h4 tags toward the top. All targeted to your focus keyword.
Throw a Google+ specific share metadata block in there and well as one specific for Facebook.
Use a tracking heatmap script and some sort of analytics..
The design is good and simple...
but you need serious SEO work on it.
Also consider adding share scripts on there for social signals.. it's slow down loading slightly but if you're using a CDN it should be too much of a burden to out weigh it's benefits for SEO.
