The second question is, what is this image supposed to be, and how to I bring it back or remove it (image #2 at bottom)?

this theme is for 1.6
you both are using 1.8 so the theme its not compatible
get 1.8 themes
I also have one more question. For the built in announcements that you made with the theme, how would I make another one called Major Announcements and make them both run at the same time? What is happening is once the Major Announcements one has completed its cycle, the Announcements one will go after.
