This is not due to the editor, nut to the mybb template. As far as I remember (i had the same problem with the other editor), you have to change the following.(I told you "cols")

Put something like 80 and try. I'm not sure, it worked with me, but I don't know if there's a correct way in order to do this.

In you board settings, go to private messanging settings, and allow html.
Indeed it worked.. i activated it From ACP.... By Checking Yes to :allow HTM for PM
