I'm on MyBB version 1.8.1

I'm trying to set the permissions for a forum and whenever I try to drag "Post threads" to the disallowed actions side, it won't move
My mouse will just start highlighting things instead of dragging the perm with it

Hi, I already did a post on this topic, http://community.mybb.com/thread-162377.html , and a solution / workaround. You may wish to try the same ?

Made the change and it still doesn't work

I have only tested in a local WAMP installation, and using Firefox latest version.

If it's relevant in any way. Change of function changing ajax=1 to ajax=0 made it work for me.

Well, something is relevant because I can't reproduce this issue in any of my 1.8.1 test forums with any out of 5 browsers I have installed.

What's your list of plugins? Try disabling all in ACP -> Configuration -> General Configuration -> Disable All Plugins? -> set to Yes and Save.

Also run ACP -> Tools & Maintenance -> File Verification and show the results here.

FYI: I tested in a WAMP server locally with the Square plugin, latest release. I did activate the Languaje plugin as per install instructions.

Is it useful to have a zipped copy of directory + database dump ? It's just a testinstall with no real data.

The only plugin that's in the plugin list right now is "Hello World!" and it's not installed

I guess I should redownload and upload those files?
(I edited management.php myself)

Edit: I just tested this on Firefox and I am able to move the permissions on there. Why would it not work on Chrome? I'm on the latest version of Chrome and MyBB and I used to be able to move them on Chrome

Do other things work like collapsing, selecting multiple messages in a thread (and do you see a yellow box) and multiquote (the green + should turn into a red -)?
If not, it's probably a cookie issue. And the solution to that is to clear you browser cache.
Or only delete the cookies for your site.
