Still having this issue, is anyone able to assist?

Are you able to reproduce this issue on a clean MyBB 1.8.8 installation with the latest plugin version?

Strangely the avatars are getting proxied now. The setting to proxy embedded images in posts does not seem to work on a fresh install. (see https://dev.buttwaters.com/showthread.ph...pid=1#pid1)

I'll PM you the admin credentials for that site.
What about a way to rewrite certain URLs to use HTTPS when we know a specific host supports it? With the ability to specify multiple safe hosts.

It could make a decent addition, although if the service isn't providing HTTPS URLs by default it usually means they aren't done with the configuration yet (once it's done the administrator's task would be limited to updating URLs with REGEXP_REPLACE or custom script so they don't have to be rewritten every time).

I was leaning more toward users that use services like Imgur and end up copy/pasting a http link instead of https because Imgur doesn't force https.

Yes, Imgur is one of such - performance and compatibility issues would be negligible if done properly so it's hard to tell what's actually holding them off in 2016.
Hey,

How to configure an image proxy in DVZ Secure Content mod?
