I was wondering if MyBB was designed from scratch using a text editor or a website designer like dreamweaver.

Anyone know?

It goes like this.
XMB (Still alive)
DevBB (Dead for some time now)
MyBB (Alive ).

As for how its developed, I would think they use an IDE of some kind.

I'm fairly sure it's all done manually in a standard text editor (with syntax highlighting probably). Justin S. has done most of, if not all, the designs.

I'm not sure how much more I can say before I have to hold my tongue, so I'll stop here.

I thought everybody knew it was developed on stone walls, in a cave, somewhere in Slovakia...

It was created with a magic wand and some pixie dust. No editor was required.

We fix bugs on our own SVN server. As for the original, it depends on the developer's preference.

I did it all...

This thread reminds me of the people who think Youtube or similar were developed using Dreamweaver. "It's amazing! I can build a site like this in minutes!"
