Yeah, but maybe GPL isn't the best license :/
It is though, it lets people that need to improve more, fork it and costmize it to their own needs.
They coulld just get a custom license written up, or do it themselves :p It's not hard to do
But then they have to pay people to make sure there are no loop holes, this is easier.
People want to have vB or make their forums look like vB because vB costs money. Ever heard of the phrase "The more it costs it better it is"? Well some people believe that the phrase also counts for Software which is a giant mistake.
I agree the more you pay for a computer the better it is but I disagree if you are talking about software or scripts. I mean IPB is better than vB and its cheaper or AVG free is way better than Pro Mcafee and you can go on and on.
Serously if you WANT a vB forum than get one and don't get MyBB, or SMF, or PHPBB, or IPB and make it look like vB because it might look like a vB board from the outside but after using it for more than 15 seconds you will always figure out its not vB when its not.
VB is gonna be dead soon imo.
