highslide does everything other lightboxes do and more
ALso you need to make images and or thumbs available to guests....this may have to be done from mybb itself
how to enable thumbs and images available to guests? Because you can only enable attachment for all (including files)

yes you might need a conditional in the script itself, you may have to do it yourself or request a feature change
does anyone know if this affects all theme templates or just the postbits and attachments?
I forgot, does this plugin scan for img extension and insert a IMG tag? or is it a manual thing?

I did
Admin Cp>Configuration>Plugins>MyBB Highslide>Activate.
Admin Cp>Configuration>Settings>Highslide Settings.
Also i installed
