I just had "23,317 New Today" posts in my admincp for HF. This is another 15% increase over my previous record from about a month ago. I'm amazed how it just continues to grow.
So how many posts per day do you get?
I spotted it at around 1,300 once - I was super happy about that. It averages between 800-1,200 though, drops a bit on weekends.
I'd love to break the 2,000 mark. You're miles ahead. :<
I have no forum right now, but when I did, the most I had was about 300 in a day.
SF does about 300+ posts per day. That site is growing nicely too.

Well eventually you'll be to big to fail so it won't matter
.
But, on a real note too big is when the server can't handle it anymore. Then you just get a larger server/more servers and then nothing is to big until the server can't handle it again.
We get between 100-200 posts a day at the moment.
