I love myself a dark desktop, plain. Nothing nerdy, too much flash.

My desktop is pretty plain usually... but I use it as a "desktop" too, I keep in progress stuff there so its right in front of me. And when its done I move it to Documents or Code Projects or wherever it needs to do
Right now its cluttered with docs... big projects going

Openbox looks good, menu isn't good though.
Have you tried Xfce?

Yea used to live by it. Then i just bored of the basicness. Want my screen fuller, filled with random crap. Gnome fit

Conky & Widgets is much prettier than icons and folders.

LOL. I mean the bars actually. To be honest, i was spending 12 hours a week just adjusting Conky. Thats when i moved. Added a simplistic Conky script, and now thats how its gonna still till 1010.
