Must be new in this version then. Both IPB and myBB have always worked fine for me without setting this path.
I think those settings got lost after your upgrade. That feature has always been in MyBB.
heh. I think the error is only limited to POST. Query strings (aka GET) works fine as it loads threads and subpages. Logging in and replying doesn't work as it uses "POST" variables.

Same for me. My board always worked without them since RC2.

change cookiepath and cookiedomain.

Clearing my cookies and adjusting the path didn't do diddley squad for me.

Okay - some real information.
What versions were you guys upgrading? AlbioB, I know you said 1.04 but are you sure it was 1.04 or was it 1.0 RC4?
Can you both please upload a file (phpinfo.php) with the following contents:
