Beta.

Can enter command prompt/terminal people do

windows
"tracert www.mybb.com"

linux/mac
traceroute www.mybb.com

It doesn't sound like a network issue and not a server issue. If no services are failing on the server I would have Chris talk to them since they say on the SLA the network is carrier grade, which 100+ ms isn't.

Tracing route to mybb.com [67.228.199.195]

Trace complete.
Problem starts at Global crossing, but seems fine at the other 2 attempts, but then the softlayer networks are pretty bad at all 3 attempts...I would really take this up with Softlayer.

http://www.softlayer.com/network/network-overview/ Looking at the network map they provide Dallas is the main softlayer giant server monster farm, actually one thing I find weird, if most staff is in the UK and over in that side of the world why not get a DC server? But most of the members here are in the US, the best place would be Dallas, it's the main DC and most of dallas networks go across the US. Plus well, they got a lot more network providers in Dallas to their DC's.

Also about the Chicago thing on page 2, personally I wouldn't really "recommend" it since their only about a PoP (point of presence). But doesn't really make any difference although it doesn't have a lot of network connections.

Too long of a post for just this?
==============================
I was downloading some stuff....so yea, my Speed test and ping was really bad. Stopped them and updated the images. The network seems good.

I'm wondering but people from New York, DC, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Seattle what speed tests and pings are you getting to Seattle?

Here's the latest stuff. Smile
I'm starting to think it's an issue with Chrome and nothing to do with us, I have started to get it on many other sites now too and everyone who has reported it is on Chrome.

This is really strange....
I just got it on IE so i'm not sure.
Oh really... Hmmm :s
