Looking for a tutorial
Posted by: rdplive - 2010-08-09, 04:33 PM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (2)

Hi all,

I have just created a website with one provider and i have it hosted with fasthosts.co.uk.

On my website I want to include a forum (on its separate web-page which I will be able to easily navigate BACK to my websites home page), and this will be provided by MyBB.com, as opposed to its own in built forum tools because quite frankly they are, honestly, rubbish! Smile

Can anyone point me in the right direction for how i would go about setting this up, or point me in the direction of a tutorial, as i cant seem to find one.

Thank you very much
Martyn K.

None of the plugins are compatible Sad((((

Erm, The ones I used which said they aren't compatible are Login Password Conversion, Overview, Users Online Today, reCAPTCHA, Shoutbox and AJAX Shoutbox.

I am going to be hunting for solutions but... what should I do?

Thanks,

Elwave

  Search Language Variables
Posted by: v7web - 2010-08-09, 02:51 PM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (2)

HI,
Is there a quicker way of searching for language variables?

I would like to change a few of the variables and it would be great if there was a search function.
I am looking for "This bulletin board is currently closed. The Administrator has specified the reason as to why below." if anyone knows where that is.

Thanks

Delete a specific phrase from all posts ?
Posted by: Wolfseye - 2010-08-09, 12:50 PM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (14)

I just recently converted my vB Forum to MyBB. The attachments all didn't work. I am working now to re-add all of them manually again.

Unfortunately in many threads where in vB were attachments inline, i do have that for example, different numbers for the old attachments.

Deleting all that by hand is a pain in the a**. Is there a quicker way to get rid of all those ?

Question Image attachment shows twice in a post
Posted by: Wolfseye - 2010-08-09, 12:38 PM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (2)

When I attach a image to a post, as attachment, and press "INSERT INTO POST", it always shows twice in the actual post. Though in the editor it only shows that attachment once, in the actual post its twice.

Why is that ?

  Missing a bg?
Posted by: Riad C. - 2010-08-09, 11:35 AM - Forum: 1.6 General Support - Replies (6)

I'm sorry for all the threads I post, but bugs come up for me 24/7...

http://www.runegear.net/showthread.php?tid=610&page=2

Where has the bg went in the bottom of the post where it says:
« Next Oldest | Next Newest »

It's also missing from behind the Post Reply / Preview buttons, as well as my footer links:

Log Out | Mark All Forums Read | Forum Team | Forum Statistics

Kind of annoying me.
