This plugin currently requires Curl and therefore will not work if this is not enabled. We will be working on using fopen in a future release.

This plugin currently depends on cURL, however we will also include fopen soon for extra compatibility. Smile

Why not just fetch_remote_file()? That way it uses either curl or fsock_open depending on which is available.

I use Patches so I can just revert all my patches, upgrade and be done.

I agree with Anxiety. This is great for those who are confused by FTP and similar. Though, I am still think people need to learn how to properly use FTP or similar to be a successful admin. cPanel can only help you so much.

Thanks euantor, we're currently looking into using the fetch_remote_file() function. Smile

Thanks Josh. Yeah I do agree, it's very important. We mainly created this for ease of use when upgrading, sort of like uploading plugins with plugin uploader. Toungue

We are planning to use a different method than cURL in our next release. Smile
