Thanks a lot Smile

This is amazing. Simply awesome, man. Allows me to be far more active on my board.

I have one suggestion - allow default puppet choice. I'm constantly posting as admin and not realizing it until it's too late. Basically by force of habit, just forgetting to select the correct id before hitting post. Anyway, i think it would be handy.

You can select default poster by reordering your puppets in ACP-- the top choice is default.

Thanks for the kind words.

Ahh... so you are correct. Great.

Big bug found in puppet master. I do not know if it is puppet master, or latest threads sidebox issue.

When posting unapproved with registered user, the post shows and registers in latest threads, actually bumping the thread up to the top.

The post does not actually show to guests/regular users when clicking on the thread. Only in latests posts sidebox.

It shows up in moderated posts area as it should.

Hope I'm being clear here. Regular unmoderated threads appear to be behaving normally. It seems to be only with puppets posting unapproved. Its as if it is only half unapproved... If such a thing is possible.

Sems that after updating to 1.6.15 from 1.6.14 posting as another user does not work anymore.

I have to edit the post with the desired user to make it work.

Let's say I'm logged in as Admin and want to post as UserX, selecting UserX. The post will be postet as Admin. Then I go to edit and change the poster to UserX. Now it works. With 1.6.14 it was working correctly.

It looks like it's due to the modifications in newreply.php and newthread.php.

I can confirm this. We just upgraded to 1.6.15 and are having the same issue with Puppet Master. It's a huge loss.

Can anybody solve this issue?

Bumping this up to a paid job. Anyone can get this fixed - $10 via PayPal.

You can temporarily fix it using newreply.php and newthread.php from 1.6.14. I didn't find any security issues in doing so.

Maybe it will get fixed for 1.8, maybe Wildcard is busy with other matters. Of course he has no obligations to update, but it would be nice if he would Cool

Did you try the Enhanced Account Switcher from http://doylecc.altervista.org/en/.

The difference there is that you must know the passwords from the associated accounts, meaning that you might need to create some fake accounts.

Unfortunately this plugin does not work for me and the developer did not reply. So I had to modify an existing plugin where I can change the poster user.

Hope he fixes it for 1.6.15 as well. I have no plan to move to 1.8 anytime soon. I don't see any compelling reason to upgrade to 1.8... More importantly, most of my plugins and mobile theme have not been updated to 1.8.

It doesn't have to be Wildcard. He has been MIA for a long while now. Any other developer or knowledgeable person may know the changes required for the plugin to work with 1.6.15. That would be excellent.

EDIT: Thanks for the tip man. The Enhanced Account Switcher is working out great for my needs.
