I think a "MYPS download charge" would be easy to implement as a seperate plugin. Basically you can allow the poster that adds the plugin to charge the MYPS for the DL. Admin can set whether to deduct those MYPS or have the MYPS given to the poster. Also I believe it would be good to exempt certain extensions or groups from charging. It's very doable.

That would be a great idea and encourage members to post in order to be able to download.

No..I am gonna get back to work on MYPS. As a matter of fact today I found 2 minor bugs and fixed them. So now the code is on my desktop I will probably get 1.11 out within a week. I am gonna add decimal support (request by Judel repeatedly) and some other clean ups.

For the version using 1.4 could you please add this feature:
Quote:Configure each forum to have it's own values.
Or you could go even further and make it possible to configure each thread to have it's own values.

Thank you for your time! Awesome to have someone work on this kind of plug in!

I don't get what you mean. And I don't plan to add configurations for each forum. I might consider it after 1.4 is released.

How do you propose each thread have it's own value? If possible provide an example.

You got me wrong here. At the beginning of my past I did mention that I wish you to code it for 1.4, I did not ask it for 1.2 version.

I apologize that I am not experienced with PHP, but for each thread to have it's own value, I suppose you could pass the post ID and catch it with $_GET[''] method. Values could be saved at the posts entry in MySql, so just take the value from there, and then add or substract the value from user's cash (depending on if it is positive or negative). And if the value would go negative, then just stop the process.

Administrators or any user with the particular privilege could set the thread value when adding or editing the thread.

When I asked you to explain how ...I meant the functionality not the function. On what basis would a thread get points?

Quote:Or you could go even further and make it possible to configure each thread to have it's own values.

I don't understand what you mean basically. When a thread is created what do you think should happen with MYPS? I am asking that you explain this better.

Sorry, now I misunderstood you. I should of clarified that more. I meant that an admin specifies how much money this thread adds or substracts.

Let's say there is a forum based car RPG. One would go to "Cars" forum and "Volkswagen" sub forum. In there, he would go to "Jetta GTI" thread, for which the admin has specified a cash value of -5000 (to substract the money, instead of adding it). The user will post to the thread, saying "I will buy it", confirming his purchase and paying the car price of € 5000.

As another example the same user will go to "Jobs" forum. Because he has signed up as a car mechanic in Quick Fix, he would visit the Quick Fix sub forum and use the thread "Mechanic pay day". In there, the admin has specified a cash value of "3000", and he will post "Getting paid" to earn his weekly salary of € 3000.
