Wouldn't it be easier to create a new usergroup called 'Puppets' and assign users and the necessary permissions to accomplish the same thing?

No, the functionality of this plugin cannot be achieved by creating a usergroup, no matter what permissions are assigned to it.

I am using the language system, so basically you just have to translate inc/languages/english/puppet_master.lang.php and inc/languages/english/admin/puppet_master.lang.php

The format is simple:

$l['language_key_do_not_change'] = 'Language string: translate me!';

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the you must place the translated file in the appropriate folder: ie. inc/languages/german

To upgrade: Deactivate the plugin, overwrite the existing files, activate the plugin.

Hi Wildcard. Another great plugin. I used this for a long while until an update to 1.6.x broke it, then switched to Enhanced Account Switcher.

Any major differences between the two (EAS vs PM)?

I've never actually used EAS, but it seems to be a completely different approach.

In Puppet Master, instead of switching accounts, the Puppet Master remains logged in as themselves but can also choose to post, message, etc. as any of their Puppets.

But again, no account switching, logging in/out, etc...
