That stuff is now working for me when it wasn't before.

You probably need to update your 'postbit' template if the stars etc aren't showing they may be wrong.
It should have code similar to this these are the proper variables used.

userstars and groupimage you need.
This is the code that's needed in postbit adjust to your theme and template of course.

{$post['usertitle']}<br />
{$post['userstars']}
{$post['groupimage']

What theme are you running?

This must be an issue on your end. It's working fine for me.

You did also upgrade from the install folder right for both 1.8.16 and 1.8.17?
As there are template and database changes in every version.
The script will automatically update the default theme.

If you just copied the files thinking you were good to go then this is probably why you have a messed up theme.

You need to run the upgrade script in the install folder as said if you haven't.
You need to do this for every version.
Then you compare templates and revert the postbit in the 'Post Bit Templates' to default.

My site linked under this post is upgraded and appears better than before.
Though I don't have the users to test everything out.
From what I can see 1.8.17 is only fixes to 1.8.16 which template stuff was caused by security fixes and some adjustments not being fully QA'd.

Yes, download the Changed Files.
Make sure you run the UPGRADE.PHP script. Read the instructions carefully!!
If you fail to do this, then you will have problems.
