He took that from my theme as well, the on images and all, am angry like anything and most likely to DMCA if he doesn't remove them, I made them from scratch.

GET OVER IT. The image could be re-made in 1 minute in Photoshop. Seriously, guys, stop dragging him down 'cause he took 2 or 3 images from other themes. I would be no where in Designing if I never was inspired by anywhere else.

No, I won't, you might be saying this cause you haven't been made a target yet. Tomorrow if someone would reproduce or directly DOWNLOAD & STEAL your image or several parts, I know you're not gonna leave them despite of whatever you say it now.

For example, logo of any famous website if ripped or reproduced, you can't say,

"Haha, thats just a photoshop art, anyone can make that."

No, that is style and am sure its owner would sue you. If you were to make it, why you didn't made it before something like that existed ? So no, its not a valid point, DMCA means protecting any image or text or art and styles which can be reproduced and stopping it from getting distributed or reproduced.

And getting inspired is a lot of different from stealing images or other work from the same inspiration.

There's a different, believe it or not, from a Logo to a 14px by 14px image. Get over yourself, the image can be produced within 5 minutes from Paint if he really wanted to, it's in no way complex and my 2 year old brother could make it.

Sending a DMCA is completely pointless for cases like this. The guy made his first theme, leave him alone. It's the orange like this that discourages new designers and developer from MyBB, and something that's seriously putting a lag on MyBB's Community.

When you put efforts, be it a logo or a 40 X 40 px image, both are same. And if ripping or stealing other's work discourages him, I'd do it even more to leave the thing which he/she doesn't know rather than stealing other people's work.

If you commit crime, court doesn't see if its a small or big and let the small thief go, no, hes punished as well.

If you've been a victim of ripping Jordan as per the links you gave and though you didn't act, (on the first thread, I know and you did DMCA him, didn't you?) its just your carelessness I must say to let that guy use even your background and other parts of PS Bliss v3, its a right to complaint and fight against it and if you didn't, I cannot do anything because its your work, but I'd sue everyone copying even anything like 1 px also because its the thing I made, if he had similar idea, why he didn't made before I made? So its just a copy, nothing else.

I don't want to en long this debate, these things and words are enough to prove him guilty.

If ripping themes is legal,then why use creative commons license and Dmca for ????

If one image is taken its ok,if whole images are from different theme then who would watch being idle.

We encouraged many designers,if u want to see those just see the development section.
You will find many designs welcomed

Ok. I will now sue you for using colors by me in your themes. I just saved every color in the spectrum each and every one in a 1px by 1px image on my harddrive. Obviously, I'm joking. But according to your ridiculous statement I owe this site a LOT of money.

They are the colors, hex colors, no copyright on them.

Yes but if you use exactly the same combination and the very same image that is exactly similar to the once produced before it, then its a rip, enough said to prove it, you must get things when you'd be ripped.
