IcyBoards definitely has the best support of any free forum host I have EVER seen and I've been around free forums since 2003 and used at least a dozen. The service is also the best i have used with great features and extreme reliability.
Running multiple sites has not degraded services by any measure. The staff and the community are very reliable in any case that spork ever did need a break. IcyBoards has been up since 2010 and I have been there since the beginning. In that entire span I have yet to see spork overloaded with work or disappear for any period of time.

I don't know why people really moan at hosts putting a small ad on their forum? It really doesn't matter to be honest, how else are you supposed to give back to the service? Besides most forums that don't have 'forced' ads add their own anyway... Not like they are annoying and add an ugly banner to the very top of your page do they? Easy to customise and move as freely as you like.
Our host has been upgraded from MyBB 1.6.7 to MyBB 1.6.8. We also offer database imports from most major forum softwares. If you are interested, please let me know. Now is your chance to stop paying for forum hosting, or using that waste-of-time free webhost that has poor performance/uptime, and use something that's both fast and reliable!

I am hoping to set up a small forum service for moderators and the use of a chatboard in private.
I believe the forum side is easy to set up but to have the use of a PRIVATE chatboard is the part I am interested in.Is there a way it can be done?
You can set a certain forum to not be viewed by guests and certain user groups, also you can set registrations off if you do not want others to be able to register. If that's what you are asking?
