Any details that you did not wish to make public are not made public. By registering an account here you made that decision to make your username and your related threads and posts public. We didn't do that, you did.

For one I think it will be almost illegal to not delete it as requested. because they want to protect them selves and their privacy. As the account has logged the e-mail and everything that opens a lot of security risks for privacy, so as that person requests, and only person that can actually request is the original owner of this account.
No judge will ever let that uphold in court, and any half decent lawyer out of law school can get that case thrown out. Considering that a member has the ability to remove the e-mail from his/her profile, and it will remove it from the database. Thus any guava who tries to sue a forum owner over that is gonna get laughed out of court.
Quite simply: If you weren't allowed to register, you shouldn't have. Mistake on your part.

What private details are public? That possibly your name starts with T and you are from Germany? You give your business card to anyone in real life and they have your Name, Phone Number, an Address where they can find you and your email address.
