WHAT'S JFUSION?

Jfusion is an universal integrator for the CMS Joomla that make possible to integrate Joomla with MyBB and many other fine web apps.

=======================================

WHAT CAN BE INTEGRATED WITH MYBB?

With the help of Jfusion you can use all these apps together and fully integrated with MyBB with just some clicks:
  • Joomla - CMS
  • Wordpress - BLOGS
  • Dokuwiki - WIKI
  • Gallery - PHOTO GALLERY
  • Moodle - ELEARNING
  • Efront - ELEARNING
  • OSCommerce - ECOMMERCE
  • Magento - ECOMMERCE
  • Elgg - SOCIAL NETWORKING
And in the next release:
  • Eventum - ISSUE AND BUG TRACKING
  • Mantis - ISSUE AND BUG TRACKING
  • MediaWiki - WIKI
=======================================

THAT'S GOOD!! BUT WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

There is no current support for the Jfusion MyBB plugin because there is no dedicated developer for it.

The last revision of the MyBB plugin for Jfusion was released more than A YEAR ago.

Do you know PHP and MyBB? Maybe you can help in updating and fixing the MyBB plugin for Jfusion.

The plugin still works, but lacks major features, and maybe optimizations and bug fixes.

This will benefit MyBB and the entire MyBB community A LOT.

What a boost to the popularity of MyBB this would make.
Power to you.
I support this. But I don't think I can help you.
Usually i'd say screw it we don't need Joomla, but thats a lot of releases...
The best part of Jfusion is that you download it, install it, and you're done: install the software you want from the list above, install MyBB, and integrate them all without hacks, without complicated settings, without the need of aditional software.

Some clicks and you are ready to go! Smile
I use jfusion to tie mybb 1.6 into joomla

AJS helped me port over the theme and tweak some settings and fix some bugs.

works pretty decent.

Agreed but I would still prefer a bridge with a cms that didn't suck Toungue.

Hopefully it does get some more support for things like ecommerce though.

Question though do you need Joomla to integrate MyBB with one of the ecommerce solutions?
Jfusion is a component for Joomla. You need Joomla to integrate MyBB with any of the other web apps.

I don't understand this strong hate for Joomla. For me, Joomla is simply the best CMS solution on the market. With almost 6000 extensions and some of the best themes in the market, Joomla is so complete, easy to use and powerfull that is just incredible. Joomla have what ALL other CMS TOGETHER will never have.

Oh look, Joomla have integration with Wordpress! So we have the best CMS solution, the best forum solution (MyBB) with the best blog solution: http://www.corephp.com/joomla-products/w...oomla.html

Some other examples:

Extensions: http://extensions.joomla.org

Themes:
Rockettheme: http://demo.rockettheme.com
YooTheme: http://www.yootheme.com/demo

Gavick: http://demo.gavick.com
Templateplazza: http://demo.templateplazza.net

Free Themes (1600+): http://www.joomla24.com/remository/Downl...a_1.5.html
I would do this, but have no time Sad Good luck to the dev that does take this on though.
Perhaps someone can come up with a stripped joomla install, giving only the things needed to run jfusion and mybb, thus linking it with everything, without needing all that orange useless crap ( reason i switched from joomla )
