Full Version: How to add custom Page not found?

delete the htaccess you have reupload a new htaccess.txt from the original mybb zip, rename it to .htaccess then just add in to it what it says on the plugin page put the 404 bit near the bottom.
As soon as I renamed the fresh file from MyBB it gave the error again (didn't even edit it yet).
what version mybb you running.
have you contacted your host about the error as i don't think this is a mybb error.

I did write it every time till now that after I renamed it I got Internal server error.
Renaming htaccess.txt to .htaccess should not cause a server error it sound like a host issue i would ask your host about it.
If the file is not named .htaccess the plugin will not work, i think this may be a host issue not a mybb issue.
do you have a different host or a local host you can test it on.

No.

Contact your host and ask them about the error.
They told me to put a # before this line:

Options -MultiViews +FollowSymlinks -Indexes

And it works now, the 404 seems to work too now.
