myBB is a great piece of software,

but for developers it is useless. There's almost 0 documentation on how the SDK works.

I was trying to customize my forum just a bit, like reading a few info from database, ending up spending 12 hours now straight figuring it out, and still not figured out.

my 2 cents.
Post in suggestions.
Nobody even reads that forums.

pretty sure this is completely untrue
Please provided constructive criticism, not vague complaints.
Moved to the correct forum. The public may not read it often, but we the staff do. We need to keep all of our forums organized.

We do not have an official API or development kit right now. We do plan to include it in the future.

However, I'd like a nice development kit as well.

Like what? Notepad ++? I'm sorry I just don't understand what a development kit would include.
Like a plugin builder? I believe stephen was building one.
