I changed both to UTF-8 and it's working now.

Forumtitle got fixed with this, but the posts didn't.

After editing the subject the umlauts so not show up properly:

If you reload the page everything is fine. It's just right after editing the subject.

Can't we get one thread for all non-english character errors?

Probably it is related to HTML form fields.

P.S. Quickedit doesn't refresh "Last modified" text in posts.

Does it affect all forums (and their last post columns) or only one? Is the encoding in the new language pack for MyBB 1.2 different from the one used in MyBB 1.1.x?

Edit settings.php directly then convert it to utf-8 with a texteditor...
