Um... I'm too afraid to update, because last time I tried to update, I lost all my forum DB data. Can some one else do it? I'll give test Admin account to whoever does it. Smile
You don't even touch the database. This is just an upload of the new files. Just be sure to read the upgrade file to see which files you don't upload.

John
I had forgot to go to upgrade.php, but I has a backup, but how can I remake the full settings file?

There was no changes Wink

Thanks for the upgrade and good work, but I like more little upgrades then one big
Guys, I need some serious help.

I backed up last night after I did the News Portal and made several changes.

Today I went to FTP the patch and it overwrote ALL the files instead of just the newly updated files.

What can I do to save myself?

Thanks!

Talion Wrote:The upgrade (from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2) itself worked fine for me, but I have a problem with getting the themes to work. Seems like the new version simply doesn't care what theme a user wants - on the startpage, user-cp, calendar etc. the standard theme is shown, regardless of what is chosen. Only in showthread.php and forumdisplay.php the chosen theme is used. (Before the upgrade everything worked as it should.)

I even tried a completely fresh 1.2.2 installation and it didn't work either. I have absolutely no clue why it doesn't work for me but seems to be fine for everyone else... :-(

My themes all depend on the standard templates, so even after some of them beeing reverted the colors etc. should be like defined in the theme. (And every single theme works fine as soon as i set it as standard theme!)

Hints and ideas will be highly appreciated...

Help please. Thanks
Maven4Champ... You are the one that uploaded the files. In no way does the script affect what files are updated. Contact your host for a backup (if they have one). If you are sure that all the files were re-uploaded then you must have replaced them all.

Help please. Thanks

I have that bug in my forum too... I cant solve that problem for an hour...
Just to verify:
I can upload the changed files and run the installer or, can I just upload the changed files? Thanks Smile
If you have a problem with the upgrade, please post a detailed description of the existing board you had, any modifications you had, and what errors you are encountering and what not in the General Support forum. This thread is getting too confusing to read.
