Hello everyone.

I'm experiencing some issues with this plugin. Among the requirements, there is the installation of "PluginLibrary 11", but PluginLibrary seems to be not fully compatible with the latest version of MyBB (1.8.36). In my case, for instance, when I click on "install plugin," the page shows a positive result ("You have successfully installed PluginLibrary 13"), but further down, the plugin still appears as not installed ("Install & activate").

That being said, I proceded installing Google SEO until manual editing are suggested. At this point, I have a few doubts: should I manually edit the .htaccess file as suggested requested or is it done by the plugin itself? It's not an issue, but I'd like to know if that's what the plugin actually suggests doing.

In any case, I did it, I manually modified the .htaccess. After that, the URLs in the forum seems to be properly modified, but clicking on them results in a simple 404 error. Any ideas of why?

Thank you for any advice. :-)

Ok. I fixed the problem by myself. I was modifying the .htaccess in the main directory of the site instead of the one in the /forum directory. Everything went well. I still get some "warning" but overall it seems to be working. ;-)

This comes from PHP8, you can turn off the display of warnings in the forum via the ACP.
There is also a revised version of Google SEO for PHP8, see here: https://github.com/SvePu/MyBB-Google-SEO
Oooook, after some tricks and a bit of magic, everything went smoothly. Now everything works fine. I also modded some part. A biiig thanks to all of those who worked on this plugin

Smile
When I uploaded the inc folder for the plugin, my plugin section went blank. Does anyone happen to know why?
I have php 8.2

That’s the version I used, the one that you suggested
ok, couldn''t know that Wink

sure you loaded all files to the correct folders?

It looks like there is something in the plugin folder that doesn't belong there

Thanks bv64!!

And do you think this revised version is so far 'reliable' to use it in a running forum?
yes, it is
