My friend and I are in a bit of a debate about forum software. He's a vBulletin fanboy, and I'm a MyBB fanboy (ex-vBulletin fan). He's trying to tell me that no successful forum has ever used MyBB.
Can anyone help me prove him wrong by posting links to extremely popular and well-known MyBB powered forums?
The only one I can think of right now is Hackforums, but I know there are so many others as well.

It's tunnel vision like this that hold back the smaller players, people don't want to open their eyes to other alternatives.
There aren't loads of multimillion post forums, but there'd be more if more people considered converting. A 6.1 and 9.1 million post forum shows MyBB can cope with a forum of that size (albeit with some tweaks to the code for performance, but we've fixed those up anyway). Plus remembering the age of the core codebase, it's not bad at all.
The Pirate Bay's forum runs on MyBB. Not going to link to it for obvious reasons.
EDIT: 666th post lols
I imported a 2 million post community. There were some problems with the merge, but not with the stability. I think MyBB is fine for large communities.
Oh, I hear that these instructions can help with scalability:
