Eh, yes you can but chances are 99.99% you wont cover no ground and spend more out of your pocket trying to press some kind of charges against someone that most likely don't exist. And I highly doubt any lawyer is going to pursue something virtual just to have the host provider shut the host down (Yes this is what will happen you wont make no money etc off suing). All you can really do is ask people to keep the credits in the footer of the theme. Some will, most wont. I guess that is the circle of life on the internet. Nothing you can really do about it. If you want to protect yourself from it happening. The only way would be to make it more difficult for people to edit out. Use a variable for the string instead {$footer_copyright}. I found out the sooner I stopped uploading stuff the sooner people stopped claiming it as their own.
