Basically from MyBB 1.0 -> 1.1.7, there are no major changes to the codes of the files nor MySQL tables changes.

Ok, so then this must be a security fix too, just like the jump from 1.0.x to 1.1.x, this jump is 1.1.x to 1.2.x. How long did the first security fix take?

1.2 is a new feature release. It also fixes all of the bugs for the 1.0x and 1.1.x series that have been marked 'fixed'.

1.0x and 1.1.x are all security fixes (except 1.1 was also a bugfix release).

This seems interesting, I shall strive to become a beta tester for MyBB!
