I'm not sure what the trouble is, I've tested it on several different boards running 1.2.1.
It may be conflicting with another plugin you might have activated.
Post a list of all your installed plugins and I will do some testing.

Before upgrading to 1.2.1 I was using inventory shop, but my forumers figured out that. I didn't really worry about it since I was busy preparing to upgrade to 1.2.1 but now that there's a new version out I suppose I should mention this:
It was possible (and looking at the phps, should still be possible) for a user to buy any piece of equipment for any price, even ones that don't exist, merely by changing the URL (say, change it to name=unnilenium&price=0) - they could even include HTML and stuff, and break the forum by accident (or on purpose, but nobody in my forum tried that)
Would it be possible to include a SQL check on buy/sell to ensure people can't buy things for free and to ensure they can't buy things that don't exist?

Nice question, I'll work on it in Beta 3.
The SQL is already (or it should be) checked for HTML input using internal functions, however I shall look over it and see what I can do.
If possible, I will change it so that when a user buys an item, it'll grab the Item ID instead of the name, it may be an extra query but it should be worth it to prevent any misuse.
With all those plugins, it probably is a plugin conflict between mine and one of those, so there isn't much I can do because I don't have the time to go around looking for all of them and then installing to see what the issue is.
